Why Professional Installation

Safe, Secure Fan Installation

More than just hanging a fan — it's about doing it right.

A ceiling fan spinning at 200+ RPM puts significant stress on its mounting. Improper installation leads to wobbling, noise, and in worst cases, fans coming loose from the ceiling. We check that your junction box is fan-rated, the bracket is secure, and the wiring can handle the load — especially important for fan/light combos with multiple speeds and dimming.

  • Fan-rated box installation included
  • New wiring where no fixture exists
  • Separate fan and light switch wiring
  • Indoor and outdoor fan installation
Installation Process

How Ceiling Fan Installation Works

Secure mounting and balanced operation.

Assessment

We check your existing wiring, junction box rating, and ceiling structure to ensure safe fan installation.

Box Upgrade (If Needed)

Ceiling fans require fan-rated boxes that support the weight and motion. We upgrade boxes that don't meet code.

Fan Installation

We mount the bracket, assemble the fan, connect the wiring, and secure the blades and light kit.

Testing & Balancing

We test all speeds and the light, then balance the blades to eliminate wobble. You'll learn how to use any remote or wall controls.

Common Questions

Ceiling Fan Installation FAQ

Can I replace a light fixture with a ceiling fan?

Usually yes, but the junction box matters. Light fixtures use standard boxes, while ceiling fans require fan-rated boxes that support 35-50+ lbs and handle the rotational forces. We'll check your existing box and upgrade it if needed.

Can you install a ceiling fan where there's no existing light?

Yes. We can run new wiring to add a ceiling fan in any room. This is common for bedrooms, living rooms, and covered patios that don't have existing ceiling fixtures.

What size ceiling fan do I need?

Fan size depends on room size: 29-36 inch fans for rooms up to 75 sq ft, 42-48 inch for rooms up to 175 sq ft, and 52-54 inch for larger rooms. Ceiling height also matters — low-profile mounts work best for ceilings under 8 feet.

Do you install outdoor ceiling fans?

Yes. Outdoor fans for covered patios and porches need to be rated for damp or wet locations depending on exposure. We install the right fan for your space with proper weatherproof connections.

Can you wire a fan for separate light and fan switches?

Yes. If you have a single switch now, we can run additional wiring to give you independent control of the fan and light. This is a popular upgrade that adds convenience without replacing the fan.

Why does my ceiling fan wobble?

Wobbling usually comes from unbalanced blades, loose screws, or an improperly mounted bracket. We can diagnose and fix wobble issues, or replace fans that are beyond repair.
